A suburb just to the west of Cleveland, Lakewood has a reputation for being the go-to place for those who pursue "alternative" lifestyles.  This rumor aside, it is much like any other low-to-middle class neighborhood just outside city limits.  A few small clubs centered on Detroit Avenue such as the Chamber adn the Hi-Fi Club cater to those with particular sub-cultural interests, or those who shy away from the riotous clubs of the Flats.
